Wow. Not many things leave is speechless, but words pretty much fail us when we try and describe Shogun Audio’s Way of the Warrior Launch Party on Saturday 15th October. The queue stretched right up the street, but once inside it was well worth the wait, as all of Shogun’s warriors were on superb form – with Friction killing it in his usual style and leaping in the air with excitement every time a big bassline dropped. Thank you to every single one of you for dancing your socks off and raising the roof - check out the pics and relive what was without a doubt one of the parties of the year.

Check out part 2 here.

The sun was shining, spirits were high, and Swamp81 were back at Cable. How could it fail to be an amazing night? From Addison Groove and Loefah in the main room chopping up the freshest Dubstep, Juke, Garage and House to Rinse FM’s Oneman and his label mates Teeth, Fis-T and Visionist showcasing their take on the new hybrid sounds of dubstep, grime, house and UK garage for 502 Recordings - we were taken on a journey that we never wanted to end. Relive some of the moments in the photo gallery below as we say goodbye to a brief Indian summer.

To be quite frank, we still haven’t quite recovered from what was without a doubt one of our clubbing highlights of the year! The Metalheadz crew were on fine form, with Breakage, Marcus Intalex B2B Klute, Jubei, Commix, Lenzman and Mikal all rocking it the main room, whilst Neighbourhood with Marcus Intalex (techno set), DJ Flight, Jubei and Tasha kept us busy in Room Two. And of course – a very special mention to the beyond legendary David Rodigan who’s unique brand of Rodigan’s Reggae had the crowd in raptures. Words fail us, so just check out the pictures instead!

When you’ve got an many different aliases as Tom Middleton & Mark Pritchard, it must get pretty confusing - especially if you decide to let them all out to play on the same night! There wasn’t a hint of an identity crisis in sight though on Saturday 10th September, as the duo switched seamlessly between Global Communication, Reload, Jedi Knights, Link and E621, Secret Ingredients and Chameleon. Packed with tracks from their 20 year production career, some proper classics (Future Sound of London Papua New Guinea was just one of many) and finishing with a mini drum & bass set – the DJs looked as if they were having as much fun as the dancefloor. Big smiles all round.

The heavy weekend that was the bank holiday brought out the masses to Stanton Sessions with Stanton Warriors on Sunday 28th August, Herve, Redlight and Sick Rick all putting in match winning performances. Both bass heavy and intriguing we don’t think there could have been a better way to end the weekend. Roll on the next one!
