Saturday 15th December saw Shogun Audio once more return the Cable, but this time it was for their last ever gig under these arches. A relationship first formed in August 2010, it can be safe to say that we have most definitely shared some of the best moments in Cable's history with the Shogun boys, who put on many memorable parties over the years. And as this was the last ever Shogun here, they definitely went out with a bang with one of their strongest lineups to date. Head honcho Friction absolutely smashed the main room for 2 hours, demonstrating why he is still one of the most revered DnB DJ's in the game. Headliner Dub Phizix brought his dark, bass driven sound alongside Shogun boys Icicle, Spectrasoul, Rockwell and not forgetting the ever popular Alix Perez. Garage legend MJ Cole took control of things in Room 2 alongside The Prototypes and Friction, who put on a real show with a freestyle set.

We here at Cable would like to wish the Shogun lads all the best for future... it definitely has been fun! (Dry eyes... cue the photos).

Last Friday 3 of our biggest events joined forces for one massive party, as Idiosynphonic took over Cable alongside Dub-All or Nothing and Discus Records. There was a rare UK performance from Canadian duo Zeds Dead, as well as DnB veterans Sigma and TC who absolutely smashed it in the Idio room. High Rankin and Bar9 headed up things in the Dub-All or Nothing room with a host of Dub-All label mates, and the Discus boys controlled things in the bar. Definitely one of the stand-out nights of 2012! Check out the exclusive photos here...

The ever trendy and controversial Vice celebrated their 10th Anniversary in style at Cable late last month if you didn't already know. All 3 rooms of Cable were rammed to capacity with achingly cool individuals all in attendance to just say "I was there". With a stellar lineup including Crystal Castles, Mark Ronson, Andrew W.K, Danny Brown, Iggy Azalea and more, the night definitely got out of hand! Thanks to all who made it down... check out the action here!

So the Shoom 25th Anniversary has finally been and gone but we are now just left with the memories of what was one of the best weekends ever here at Cable. Some of the most revered names in dance music graced the decks to transport us all back to the beginnings of the rave movement in the UK. Shoom was at the heart of bringing the acid house and Balearic sound onto our shores and pioneers like Danny Rampling and Derrick May demonstrated why after 25 years the love for Shoom is still so strong. Household names like Bushwacka! and Heller & Farley got the main room in a euphoric frenzy and the legend Alfredo put on a showcase of everything from Funk & Soul to Hip Hop and House from the US. Thanks to everyone who came down and made it such a memorable weekend!

This mix is simply incredible. The young and supremely talented George Fitzgerald has been putting out records on Hotflush and Aus, as well as his own imprint ManMakeMusic. His blend of garage and house has seen him rise quickly, and his constant delivery of exceptionally produced records that range from emotive remixes to straight up dance floor destroyers sees him up there with a new breed of producers that are encapsulating the resurgence of classic genres with modern twists.
