Unfortunately, due to essential maintenance taking place within Cable, we have had to cancel Wednesday evening's Beach Break Live event with Mistajam. We are presently undergoing works which began yesterday and will not be completed on schedule. Rather than risk any problems, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel the event. We are genuinely sorry to all for any inconvenience this may cause.

Refunds will be honoured on tickets (inc. booking fees).

Normal service will resume on Thursday 28th March for Select Underground, the opening party of our Easter weekend marathon.

One of Cable's favourite brands celebrates 3 years in the game this Friday, as Licked Beatz brings an array of DnB, Grime and Garage's very best to join the party. Up first are grime dons Newham Generals, who will be officially launching their new album '5 Star General' here at Cable. Alongside them will be Grime veteran Logan Sama with Chronik on mic duties, as well as Brazilian DnB heavyweight S.P.Y, Swamp 81's Zed Bias and Rinse FM's Uncle Dugs all joining the celebrations, with many more in tow.

Saturday's 4 Years of We Fear Silence party is about to drop so we thought it fitting to team up with Boddika over at Nonplus Records on the competition front too. He's chucked in a copy of his latest vinyl LP 'Think & Change' which recently came out on the aforementioned imprint. And Boddika has let us in on something; "Each release is numbered, so I'll give away number 909, which is pretty cool!". The man has given us number 909! As the Roland 909 drum machine features on much of the material on the LP it's a nice touch.

There’s nothing that a true Londoner takes more seriously than a cup of tea and a biscuit mid-morning. This is something we at Jaded fervently agree with. No matter that your tea is served with techno, the ritual of elevenses should still be observed. To this end, our Jaded Tea Room will appear at 10am and continue until closing time at 1pm! If you’re one of our get up fresh people arriving after 10am, tea and biscuits are free.

Jaded afterhours has had a studded history of elevenses, not least due to ‘The Curse Of The Jaded Tea Trolley’. Having just acquired tea trolley mark VI, we are hoping it won't fall prey to the doom of those preceeeding which have been KO'd by over-exuberant trolley rides, stackings at staff parties, even mysterious mid-morning trolley-nappings.

Our Jaded Tea Lady is another story… We decided to have one after hearing about the legendary octogenarian who used to man the tea trolley at Twilo. Having difficulty sourcing a genuine OAP, we made do with what we could find. Not strictly a ‘lady’, our Jaded tea lady used to be spotted swigging from her bottle of gin, handing out caustic advice to those sorting out their noggins between dancefloor excursions, and covertly flashing her drawers when the mood took her. Who knows, we might even bring her back.

Elijah & Skilliam are at the forefront of a new wave of Grime artists, with their own Butterz imprint and events pushing and progressing the new Grime sound.

For those of you haven't experienced a Butterz night, every event is like a carnival, gone are the days of just a dark room, everyone eyes down. In recent years it felt like Grime had somehow lost it's way and become stagnant, with little setting every artist apart. Then Butterz came along. The vibe of the night was the most important thing on the agenda, with the boys injecting some fun into the Grime scene. This is reflected on the artists who are now part of the Butterz roster, with Royal-T and Champion releasing upbeat tunes with the dancefloor in mind, and the multi-talented Swindle showcasing that the scene has definitely come a long way musically.

On Saturday 23rd February the Butterz crew celebrate 3 years in the game with a very special lineup, here at Cable. Lil Silva headlines alongside Bristol boy, Joker, who will performing a very rare back-to-back set with Buterz' own Swindle. Royal-T, Champion, Terror Danjah and of course Elijah & Skilliam will be joined by a slew of unannounced guests, and anyone who's been to a Butterz party knows these are always pretty special.
