Seeing as The Alchemist is the first album to be released by Goldie since 2009, expectations for another collection of drum and bass classics, are high – released last Friday, the album features an exclusive new track, ‘Single Petal for A Rose’
Having spoken to the Guardian at the weekend, Goldie was asked about his own philosophies for drum and bass, responding by saying – “it’s the harmonic tones between the black notes that you hear if you open up your mind” – while further citing that he respected the work of Skrillex, saying he “Is no different from Burial or Photek.”
If neither of those quotes give you a taster of what to anticipate, grab the record here - https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/alchemist-best-1992-2012-deluxe/id608047943
Goldie’s ‘The Alchemist: Best of 1992 – 2012’ is available now on itunes.
