Top 10 of the Golden Era: Danny Rampling
Thursday 6th December 2012
Danny Rampling is without doubt one of the most important figures in the British clubbing scene. The word "pioneer' is often used without good cause, but in Danny's case it is definitely well deserved. In the late 80s Danny successfully introduced House and Techno that was so popular over in the states and mixed it with the Balearic sound found in Ibiza after returning inspired from a boys holiday. A clubbing revolution was born and the landscape of the British Rave scene was never the same again. It can be said that Danny was in fact one of the main contributors who created "Rave Culture" in the UK in the late 80s and 90s, throwing parties which have now become legendary.

We sat down with Danny recently ahead of the massive Shoom 25th Anniversary weekender here at Cable to find out his top 10 tracks of the golden era of raving.
