We Fear Silence present Blueprint Records with Ben Klock & Blawan
Room Two - Hosted By Colony: Rob Hall, Tengui, MB & CB
For our second We Fear Silence & Blueprint soiree of 2013 we welcome 4 guys at the fore front of global techno, to perform 3 hour shows as part of a mammoth 12 hour session. For the first time, we're stepping out on a Friday night so we can carry on deep into Saturday morning. Leading us astray is Ben Klock, Blawan, DVS1 and of course Blueprint guv'nor James Ruskin. Who's got the legs for this one then?!
First up, we welcome Berghain ressie Ben Klock back to Cable. Known for his groove-laden industrial sound, the Ostgut man will have the Cable faithful glued to the dance floor. This trademark sound is reflected in the aesthetics of his own Klockworks label so expect some exclusive unheard cuts from our headliner for the eve'.
Another man who's been making waves within the British techno scene of late is Blawan. Best known for his contemporary dub releases on highly regarded imprints such R&S and Hessle Audio, Jamie Roberts, is now a front runner in the re-emerging industrial scene. His collaborations as 'Karenn' alongside Pariah have a distinct dark edge, with a definite nod towards the aforementioned mid 90's sound. Expect relentless percussive rawness - something we love here at We Fear Silence.
Next up is US techno pioneer DVS1 aka Zak Khutoretsky, who's productions continue to move floors with a combination of atmospheric sound design and immersive rhythms. Those who have witnessed Zak’s sets will know he brings his own style and intensity when he performs. Couple with this, a record collection that exceeds 10,000 we have the perfect choice for an extended set.
